Pistons & Raptors Surge — Clippers Now a Full-Blown Disaster
The latest Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors surges have shaken up the league standings, while the Los Angeles Clippers have officially fallen apart, according to this week’s NBA power rankings from CBS Sports.
- Pistons on fire: Detroit is 15–2 this season, riding a 13-game winning streak. Their success isn’t just luck — their defense is elite, they dominate the paint, and they create extra possessions with strong offensive rebounding and turnovers forced.
- Raptors rising: Toronto has won 12 of their last 13 and currently sits on an eight-game winning streak. Their fast-paced, aggressive style is clicking — and no one seems able to keep up.
- Suns also surprising: Alongside Detroit and Toronto, the Phoenix Suns are getting credit for playing scrappy, hustle-heavy basketball: tons of 3s, aggressive defense, forcing turnovers, and sustained momentum on both ends.
- But Clippers — a collapse: After a summer of optimism around healthy stars and a deep front-court, Los Angeles is now losing 11 of their last 13 games. Even with key players active, chemistry, consistency and results simply aren’t showing up.
